Big Blue Button is an open source web conferencing system. It is based on the GNU / Linux operating system. It enables integration with large learning management systems (LMS), such as Moodle, ILIAS, Sakai Project and Cahamilo. Integration is also possible with Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Drupal, WordPress and others.
BigBlueButton allows you to share audio and video, slides, desktop with students, and supports the chat option. Built-in surveys make learning easier for students and recorded lessons mean that they are available for later revision.
When you use the whiteboard tool in BigBlueButton, notes are automatically displayed back to students in real time. Lecturers also have the ability to zoom, highlight, draw and write on presentations, which will make your views clearer to remote students.
There is no limit to the number of web cams you can share in a session (limited by bandwidth only).
Almost all major suppliers of LMS have created native integrations with BigBlueButton. Why? Because they are focused on the needs of teachers and students.
Bigbluebutton seeks to meet all the accessibility requirements listed in wcag 2.0.
